“Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth,
where moth and rust consume,
and where thieves break through and steal;
but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust consume,
and where thieves don’t break through and steal;
for where your treasure is,
there your heart will be also.”

Matthew 6:19-21, WEB

I hope to set the World English Bible to music.
Why? To live out Colossians 3:16 (WEB):
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly;
in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs,
singing with grace in your heart to God.”
I also want to create beautiful tools for my children and for fellow believers.
To that end, and in keeping with the spirit of the World English Bible, I will be releasing this musical Bible to the public domain. That means, with no requirement for permission or payment, you can:
-
Create, record, share, and sell your own covers
-
Perform or play the settings in a church service
-
Teach the music to your choir or vocal ensemble
-
Sample a section for a hip-hop hook
-
Upload or include the music in your own YouTube channel, radio station, or podcast
-
Print and sell the sheet music

However you choose to use the music, please credit "World English Bible" wherever you use its text. For more about usage of the WEB, read here.

A fuller story behind the “Storehouse Bible” and the reason for the WEB as my source text are forthcoming.
